my house these days is very...serene. no people, because my mom is out working, my sister is doing volunteer work, and my papa is doing errands. (his company is on "shut down" for the next two weeks. to save money in case you don't know what it means. :)) so i'm home alone. no people to disturb my VERY important thoughts. on christmas week. and the house isn't decorated. cause my parents were to busy. (both of them went on fairly long business trips recently.) ahhh. i hate it.

i'm going to drag my mom out of the house today to buy decorations. i'm going to bring christmas spirit into this house whether they like it or not. HAHA. wish me luck.

FUN. but i also got to eat pinkberry and ride on an amazing ferris wheel. okay, maybe not amazing...

my secret santa

sort of. so i bought a pair of uggs on ebay...(because my sister stole mine:(or OURS.) and the transaction didn't go through. we're getting our money back--but i was still bummed. on top of that my dad said no christmas presents this year. i'm actually fine with that now. which is weird. but anyways....i was talking to my mom yesterday and talking about how my feet are going to freeze to death in my worn white shoes. she just laughed and told me to hold on tight. we'll figure it out once she gets home. (she's on a business trip:() so i say okay. i wake up this morning and some person's ringing the doorbell at 9 in the morning, ruining my saturday morning sleep. (haha) anyways...he hands my dad this box and tells him to "sign here."it says:to Helen Kim (my mom) and it's shaped like a shoe box...hmmmmm....but i don't get my hopes up because...why bother? but i open the wrapping and inside of it lay a new pair of size seven choco uggs. ahhhh! i'm going to rant at and hug my mom. fortunately for her, she's on a plane to China. She shipped these uggs all the way from Korea/china/taiwan. rest assured, these are real. haha.

and that's how my morning was.

black friday madness...or not?

my mom, sister, and i woke up at 3:30 this morning. SUPER tired. makes sense considering we went to sleep at 1 yesterday. anyways..we rushed to the mall at 4:30 expecting traffic and lots of people. we arrive at valley fair and what do we see? do we see hundreds of shopaholics lined up in front of macys, waiting to rush in and grab anything and everything in sight? nope. not even. what we see is a few sleepy people sitting on the curb. shows how bad the economy is. :)

didn't buy much...but i don't go shopping to buy. more for the fun of looking around and having fun with my family. too bad my dada isn't here. oh well. he wouldn't have gone anyways. its officially after thanksgiving which means....TIME TO PREPARE FOR CHRISTMAS!!! oh joy. toodle doo^^

oh happy day...!

hola amigos. senors and senoritas...but mostly senoritas. here to entertain you is moi. i know, i know...SO EXCITING! my mom and i were at home eating our makeshift thanksgiving dinner---consisting of a few pieces of fried ham, fish,and ramen---when i realized....i loved my thanksgiving day. i know i complained TERRIBLY about my dad being gone and having no party...but i figure it doesn't matter. i mean it matters that my dad isn't here, but that's no excuse for me to be so selfish and complain about how i feel. selfish as in thinking only about myself and my feelings. today at dinner i realized that i have so much to be thankful (feeling thankful on thanksgiving. weird right?) for. i mean...why am i sitting here moping about how horrible my day has been. life is what you make it. :) finally. miley cyrus is useful. for now im perfectly content sitting here with my mom, eating gallons of ice cream, and watching 20 movies in a row. (literally 20 movies-_-)

my blogs seem to be very depressing these days. so heres another one coming at you. so here i was. tuesday after school. smiling and happy because my sister was FINALLY home after such a long time. (long to me at least) thinking about the thanksgiving party were hosting at my house on friday. and then my mom tells me---your dad is going on a business trip tomorrow and coming back next week. so not only in my dad leaving for thanksgivng...he's going the week my sister's home. the ONLY week he's home. and no party or get together. no turkey. just me and my mom in the big empty house. (my sister's going somewhere) sighhhhh. but i trust god. it's all for good. im so sad though.

sighhh. that post was just plain violent. again...i apologize.

on a side note....the holiday season is approaching. the season where i gain 10 pounds. haha. i can't help it. turkey, stuffing, candy, mashed potato, cakes, ice cream...! i am a huge fan of food. i love thanksgiving. every year my family has this huge party at my house. its a tradition. and we have SO MUCH FOOD. course, we always have the traditional stuff-turkey etc. last year was the biggest. we had maybe 120 people. all of the foreign exchange students+tons of others. and all of the kids watched kung fu panda so we had like 20 little boys rolling around kicking eachother. i loved it though. my mom? not so much.

another part of the holiday season i love is the weather. i don't know how to explain it...but there's this different feeling to the air. not just cold but....crisp...? it smells different too. im not crazy. ahhhh. that's just outside though. the smell of food cooking inside on christmas is the best. (haha back to food)and candles. its just amazing. plus presents. but more then that, the feeling of love when my family's all together and at home. sometimes i actually cry because it feels so good when my family's all together. :) ahhh. can't wait.

that was a long post...but it made me feel good. organized my thoughts at least.....kind of. until next time---steph

mousiesssss

so....my mom and i were working on our computers downstairs...and we hear this squeaking. i thought it was the trees. it wasn't. it was a mouse. first of all...you have to understand that my mom hates animals smaller than a chihuahua. snakes, lizards, bugs, you name it. so we open the drawer in our kitchen and the bags for the flour and other stuff are completely ripped. and there's rat poo everywhere. and it smells. a lot. so my dad bought these traps but they aren't working at all. nada. no dead mouse. and we considered putting rat poison all along the outside of the house (sorry animal lovers) bcause we found the rat hole. but what if the mouse died while it was in the hole. do we really want a dead mouse stinking up our house? nope. there goes plan b. so now my dad came up with this BRILLIANT (or so he says) homemade trap. it consists of wires and a glass jar. the top of the glass jar is all wire...and there's a hole. it can go through the hole..but once its in...it cant get back our because the wires are sticking out. and even rats are smart enough to know that getting poked with sharp wires---not fun. so well see what happens. sigh...the thought of rats crawling around my room. jeepers! haha.

ahhhhh. i absolutely love christmas. the short days, frosty weather, and the heater inside the house. that's what i love about the heater. even if its freezing cold outside, its nice and toasty inside. :)

really? a nice day? on a MONDAY???

but please keep in mind that i didn't have school today. (hallelujah!) soooo....my friends and i went to the mall. which means: candy, soda, embarrassing moments, and more candy. k lost her eyelash curler, but the day turned out okay. i have to say though...."love happens" wasn't that good of a movie. i was slightly----disapointed. haha. but whatever. i haven't been posting much these days...but fear not, i will start posting more often. :)

ahhhhh....!

going to go out of my mind. i got sick on wednesday so i couldn't go to school on thursday or friday. so i have a TON of homework of homework and projects to do. on top of that, i got sick right at the start of the volleyball season. yes :) i made the team. wednesday was our first practice and since monday is labor day, tuesday is going to be the second practice. we couldn't practice on thursday or friday because of sixth grade tryouts. ANYWAYS, i have a fever of 101 and i have a game on wednesday. sighhhhh

the good thing is..my awesome sister is home. bad part: we (my mom and i) lost her licence, which she has been waiting for for a LONG time. :) what a great way to welcome her back eh?

volleyball tryouts tomorrow. :O lots of people are trying out and a lot of them go to club volleyball. sighhh. im worried i won't get in. non consistent serves. :((

this is seriously THE most unique car i have ever seen. the people in the car saw me taking pictures and started laughing. they waved. lol. i could only take a pic of the front portion of the car, but the back consists of painted on scales, TONS of rhinstones, and feathers. lots of them. :)

valley

school started on monday. the day went by so quickly---except for algebra. it went so slowly!!! the teachers are more strict and theres more homework,but otherwise its just the same. :) the same people (except for some new people) same groups same cliques (sadly haha) and same lunchtime routines. the annoying thing is that the people i hang out with at school all get up from the tables really early. well eat for like 5 minutes and spend the next 25 mins. walking around the campus. and going into the bathroom over 3 times. which is pointless because we don't even USE the bathroom. sighh. so odd. :D 3rd day and i already have 2 projects and 2 assignments. blech. the horror begins.

i promise. this is the last post involving school...for now. haha. my sister's gone. :'( helped her move in today. now its just me and me mum at home. dad's gone on a business trip for a month. sighhh. the house feels so empty.

ready for school

im officially ready for school-almost. my sister is designing my backpack this year. i went to tillys and picked out this odd multicolored jansport. its really weird, but i really like it. it has a blue pocket with the top part of the pocket yellow, the front part is hot pink, and the rest of its black. pink zipper. :) my sister put STEPHANIE'S WORLD on the backpack and drew monsters everywhere. will post before and after pics after it is finished. went back to school shopping for the rest of my stuff. (pencils, snacks, new hairdryer and straightener etc.)

couldn't go to back to school night because my sister needed to pick her textbooks up at berkeley...sigh. i was disappointed, but it turned out allright. :) i got to buy a cal sweater and eat a yummy dinner with my mom and sister. so YAY. GO CAL! haha. to a certain someone that dislikes berkeley- OH WELL! cough *kiko* cough. im going to go pick up my schedule and books tomorrow at valley.

on another note. my sister finally got her licence!!! hurrah! too bad she doesn't have a car to go with that licence yet. hopefully she'll get one soon. hopefully. :)

yayyy! 50th post.

i've finally reached my 50th post. HURRAH! quite a monumental day. not really. haha. 5 days of summer left to do as i please. (counting today and not counting the weekend) my parents let me skip math and writing this week. pretty excited for 7th grade. this year, i don't have to make new friends all over again. not well prepared for school, but whatever. i'll BE ready somehow when the time comes. :)) my post today is slightly random and frenzied, but bear with me. i'm in a random and frenzied mood right now. does that even make sense???sighhh.

i watched howls moving castle for the fifth time yesterday night. with my sister. we stayed up until 3...haha. todays my day off---which means i don't have to study at all. no library today!!! (no statues either...inside joke)

anyways, back to howls moving castle. it is the BEST movie ever. Hayao Miyazaki is brilliant. spirited away, kikis delivery service, and so much more. but howls moving castle is my favorite. :D anyways...off to the movies. dunno what were going to watch..but it doesn't really matter.

im going to tell you a story.
about a not so little bird.

one day, a not so little birdy decided to crash into stephanie's backyard door (glass) and die.
then a hawk decided to come along and eat that not so little birdy's head.

and then stephanie came home from church. and was about to open her backyard door when she saw something weird. there was a giant hawk sitting on a decorative plate outside, looking at her. it flew away after a little while. then stephanie saw a headless not so little birdy bleeding all over her grass. she didn't like it. suprise suprise.

now the same hawk (im pretty sure) is circling around stephanie's house, and its kinda weirding her out.

college

my sister's off to berkely in about two weeks. sad? yes. i didn't think i would be when the time came, but i am. its going to be weird not having another person besides my parents inside my house. im going to miss fooling around and laughing with her. she's truly a GREAT sister. always smiling and weird. well, almost always smiling. haha. definitely always weird. i love her a lot.

summer retreat

just got back from summer retreat----F U N!!
haha. it was an interesting experience. full of god, funoeing, (haha don't ask), rides, friends, and games. needless to say, i had a great time. now that all of the excitements over, im ready for school. not supplieswise, but mentally. more posts to come....

haha. so remember when i was REALLY excited about summer. and going to korea. and playing alllllll summer? well, korea is long gone, and summer isn't that fun. its all about essays, math, and korean. yes, korean.
right at this moment, i am at the library. writing my essay. 1 per day. fun right?

anyways, the only thing thats really fun is volleyball. doing a camp at my school this week. then next week is pheonix volleyball camp. (its in santa clara, not pheonix) then the next week i go to santa cruz for an all night 5 day camp. YAY!!! haha. sharing a dorm with akiko. :)

that was my latest. 5:30ish.
i stayed up the whole night on one occasion, and slept like 5 hours during the day.
